Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the MedXcribe iPhone app (the “App”), provided by MedXcribe (“we”, “us”). By downloading, installing or using the App you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
What the App does
MedXcribe records audio, transcribes it on your device using a speech model tuned for medical vocabulary, and arranges the transcript into SOAP notes. Transcription works offline. An internet connection is needed only to download the App and to make purchases through the Apple App Store.
Not medical advice; your responsibility
The App is a documentation tool. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Automatic transcription can contain errors, including in drug names, doses and clinical terms. You are responsible for reviewing and correcting every transcript and note before relying on it or entering it into a patient record, and for complying with the professional, confidentiality and data-protection rules that apply to you.
Free use and subscriptions
- The App is free to download and includes a limited number of free recordings.
- Unlimited transcription is available through an auto-renewing monthly subscription (“Unlimited Transcriptions”) purchased through the Apple App Store. The price is shown in the App Store for your country before you buy.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel them in your Apple ID account settings. Apple handles all payments and refunds under its own terms; we do not receive your payment details.
Your content
Recordings, transcripts and notes you create belong to you and stay on your device. We do not receive or store them. You are responsible for keeping backups of anything important and for obtaining any consent needed to record other people.
Intellectual property
The App, including its software, speech models, design and trademarks, is owned by MedXcribe or its licensors. You may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse-engineer or create derivative works from the App except as permitted by law.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use the App for any unlawful purpose, to interfere with its operation, or to attempt to extract its speech models or other components.
Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The App is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose and uninterrupted operation. To the fullest extent permitted by law, MedXcribe is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from transcription errors or from your use of or inability to use the App.
Changes and termination
We may update the App or these Terms at any time. The date at the top shows when the Terms last changed; continued use after a change means you accept the new Terms. We may discontinue the App or any feature at any time.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the App shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of Tamil Nadu, India.
