About MedXcribe
MedXcribe is an offline medical transcription app for iPhone, built in Madurai, India. It records consultations and dictations, transcribes them on the device with a speech model tuned for medical vocabulary, and arranges the result into SOAP notes.
Our mission
Clinicians spend too much of their day on documentation. Our mission is to give that time back with fast, accurate transcription that never puts patient data at risk. Everything MedXcribe does happens on the phone, so no recording or note leaves your device unless you choose to export it.

- Doctors and clinicians who want consultation notes written up while the patient is still in the room.
- Medical students and residents who dictate case notes, ward rounds and study material on the go.
- Researchers and educators who need private, on-device transcripts of interviews and lectures.
What makes it different
- Offline by design. Transcription works with no signal at all, and there is no account to create.
- Trained for medicine. A fine-tuned Whisper model recognises drug names, diagnoses and procedures that general dictation tools get wrong.
- Structured output. Transcripts are timestamped and filed into Subjective, Objective, Assessment and Plan sections for you to review.
- Private. Recordings, transcripts and notes are stored only on your device.
MedXcribe is available only as an iPhone app. It also runs on iPad and on Apple silicon Macs.
